Diaphyseal fractures of the humerus represent 1 to 5% of all fractures. The aims of this study was to describe epidemioclinical and therapeutic aspects of diaphyseal fracture of humerus at Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Universitary Hospital. It was a retrospective and descriptive study during twelve months from January to December 2019. A total of 41 patients were included in the study. The population was mainly young adults. The mean age was 40,37 years. Male was predominant with sex rate 1,4. The main cause of humeral shaft fractures was traffic accidents (51,22%). The fracture line was located at the middle diaphysis in 68,29% against 14,64% at the proximal diaphysis and 17,07% in the distal diaphyseal region. The type A of fracture is the main type with 53,66%. The type B followed with 29,27% and the type C with 17,07% of the cases. Their treatement was orthopedic procedure in 92,68% cases. The orthopedic treatment was the most frequent in our series. Surgical treatments have been used less because of their high cost, which remains a problem in our country.
