The Journal of Advanced Research in Medical and Health Science (JARMHS) is dedicated to ensuring that the works published in our journal are freely accessible and properly attributed. This section provides detailed information about our copyright and licensing policies for authors, readers, editors, abstracting databases, and libraries and repositories.

For Authors

Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work, maintaining ownership and control over their intellectual property.

Publishing Rights

  • By submitting a manuscript to JARMHS, authors grant the journal the right to be the first publisher of their work. This right is established once the manuscript is accepted for publication.

Creative Commons License

  • All articles published by JARMHS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
  • This license allows others to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, including commercial uses, provided proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and source.

Attribution Requirements

  • Proper attribution must include the author’s name, the title of the work, a link to the CC BY 4.0 license, and an indication of any changes made to the original work.
  • The attribution must not imply endorsement by the authors or JARMHS.

Non-Exclusive Distribution

  • Authors may enter into additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting the article in institutional repositories or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in JARMHS.

Responsibility for Permissions

Metadata and Indexing

  • JARMHS provides comprehensive metadata for all published articles to facilitate accurate indexing in abstracting databases.
  • Metadata includes author names, titles, abstracts, keywords, and other relevant information to enhance discoverability.

Access and Attribution

  • Abstracting databases are encouraged to index articles from JARMHS under the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Proper attribution must be given to the original authors and the journal when displaying abstracts or excerpts.

Licensing Information

  • Databases should clearly display licensing information, indicating that articles are licensed under the CC BY 4.0 license.

For Libraries and Repositories

Institutional Repositories

  • Libraries and institutional repositories are encouraged to include articles from JARMHS in their collections.
  • Articles can be freely shared and adapted under the CC BY 4.0 license, with proper attribution to the original authors and the journal.

Digital Preservation

  • JARMHS participates in digital preservation initiatives such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS to ensure the long-term availability of its content.
