Poultry farming, especially chicken rearing, is recognized by both rural and urban populations as a key driver for nutritional and economic improvement. It contributes to small savings, provides food for festive meals, offers eggs for consumption, and allows for special menus for guests and ceremonies. However, this sector is severely threatened by pseudo-avian plague, which decimates flocks and leaves farmers helpless. Given the lack of national or local control plans, an urgent local solution is needed to combat this disease.
